MOSTAR
Mostar is the cultural and economic centre of Herzegovina, the city on the border of different cultures and religions from East and West, which for centuries influenced each other and left traces of the past. The symbol of Mostar is the "Old Bridge” or Stari most over the Neretva, which was built 1556-1566 by the Ottoman architect Mimar Hajrudin. The old bridge will bring you closer to Mostar and its story. The city name comes from the bridge keepers (Bosnian, Serbian, Croatian: Mostar=bridge keeper).
MEĐUGORJE
Međugorje ("between mountains”) is a village in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Međugorje is located in the municipality of Čitluk and is majorly populated by Croats. It reached international fame by events from the 1980s, in which young people reported apparitions of Mary. The Roman Catholic Church has not recognized these phenomena.
